Drumming! (K-4th Grade)
Children will learn proper drumming techniques and rhythms as they explore their natural abilities and use their “inner” beats and rhythms. Through ensemble playing, they will discover how important it is to listen to others! Many percussion instruments will be available, including parts of the modern drum set. Come explore the fun of percussion!
Taught by Eric Stewart, professional musician and educator.

Animation 101 (grades 2-8)
Students will learn the art of storytelling through animation. Students will explore animated filmmaking utilizing stop-motion animation and a variety of art techniques, such as clay, toys, hand-drawn work and other innovative animation forms.
Presented by SCV Film Festival.
Fun with Sketching and Drawing (grades 2-8)
This pencil and sketch book class will improve artistic skills and drawing techniques. Students will learn how to draw portraits, landscapes, nature, still life and scenes, both real and imaginary. Beginners, intermediate and advanced skills are all welcome.

Mural Painting (grades 4-8)
Students will learn how to create and produce a mural from start to finish including sketch techniques, using grid patterns, and various paint application and brush stroke techniques. Students will complete the murals on the walls in The Village and will create an individual mural idea of their own choosing

Print-making and Painting! (grades 1-8)
In this art basics class the kids will spend time learning to draw perspective and proportion and then move into linoleum block printing (VERY FUN) and Painting a 3-D painting. Lots of visual aids and games!
Taught by Elizabeth Rydall, professional artist and educator.

The next session begins April 19, 2010. Classes will run for 6-weeks and end on May 29. Registration begins March 29. Payment in full is required to secure enrollment. Class sizes will be limited.
