Report an Absence

To report an absence, e-mail the student's name and teacher's name to absence@scvcharterschool.org, or call 661-705-4825.

To cancel a lunch order, please e-mail scaordercancellations@revolutionfoods.com by 8 a.m. on the day of the order to be cancelled. Include the following information:

a. SCVi
b. Name of student
c. Date & name of meal to be cancelled

Cancel Monthly Donation

SCVi has adopted an Annual Family Giving program. Annual giving is an important part of strengthening our school. From October 15, 2009 through November 15, 2009, we are asking 100%* of our families to pledge a gift along with the date of roughly when your gift will be made. While family giving is voluntary, our school expenses are mandatory and no financial gift is too small.

Suggested Donation Amount

1^st SCVi child = $350 for 2009-2010 Academic Year

2^nd Child= $300 for 2009-2010 Academic Year

3^rd Child = $250 for 2009-2010 Academic Year

And an additional $50 less for each additional child/student at SCVi

How and When we Ask for your Donation:

By November 15^th please email your pledge to: grantsandgifts@scvcharterschool.org. along with the following information:

Family Name: SCVi student’s name(s), Pledged Amount, Date(s) to be Paid, Payment:

One lump sum with date to be paid (use locked CAT mailbox in school lobby school – be sure to specify “family giving” when making your contribution.

Using school website’s PayPal. You may make one lump sum using PayPal or make monthly, quarterly or any other increment that works best for you. Please let us know the increments and amounts you set up.

Remember, you can fund raise for this contribution by selling Koki Kid cards (please contact Melissa Brimigion for details at hmsjilly@sbcglobal.net). You can hold a garage sale or ask members of your family to help contribute. Please let us know by November 15^th when you estimate your gift will be made.

Suggested Amount too large?

We know these are tough economic times and so we ask families who are unable to make the suggested donation to please make whatever contribution is affordable (remember, no amount is too small!).

*If 100% of our families make a monetary gift each year, it greatly improves our ability to leverage outside donors for contributions. This is because we would be able to say that ALL SCVI families financially contribute to our school in whatever amount they are able. Our families sacrifice a lot for our school and we still need your help.

Santa Clarita Valley International Charter School is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. As such, 100% of your financial contributions are tax-deductible. Tax ID# 26-0534711. Like all California public and charter schools, Santa Clarita Valley International School (SCVi) relies on state funding to cover operational costs. Many public schools statewide have been forced to reduce and eliminate most elective classes and classroom support because state funding does not cover these additional costs. In order to offer an enhanced education, SCVi is challenged with bridging the gap between state funding and what it costs to offer our programs. The SCVi Foundation will focus on three major efforts to bridge the funding gap: (1) grants, (2) Family Share Program, and (3) Taste of SCVi Event and Auction.

GRANTS
SCVi is utilizing grant writers to assist in applying for grants. SCVi will endeavor to obtain as many educational grants as possible to supplement costs of the enhanced education for students.
