3rd Grade Facilitators

Ana Donovan

Ana is a founding facilitator at SCVi—teaching kindergarten and 2nd grade in her first few years and making the move this year into 3rd. She came to SCVi from the Keppel School District where she taught 8th grade.

She is a graduate of Chapman University with a multiple subject, single subject, and BCLAD credential and is currently working on a master’s degree in education.

Ana is married and the mother of two. In fact, you might know one of her children: daughter Jennifer Donovan Williams is a facilitator in our K/1 Community. Her son is currently working toward his teaching credential.

A native of El Salvador, Ana moved to the United States when she was 11 years old. She has always been actively involved in her own children’s education while they were growing up, and now has a passion for teaching and making a difference in the lives of SCVi students. She can be reached at ana.donovan@scvcharterschool.org.

Sally Jones

For a school with an international emphasis, Sally is the perfect fit. She was born in Newcastle in NSW, Australia, and grew up in the small coastal town of Salamander Bay on Australia’s east coast.

Sally graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching. She did one term of substitute teaching before moving to a very small coastal town in Victoria where she taught a 2nd/3rd grade class at Orbost Primary School. In anticipation of coming to the United States, she returned to substitute teaching for Term 1 & 2 (February-August), working in both primary and secondary schools. Since then, she has come to SCVi where she is excited to teach 3rd grade.

Sally has a mum, dad, older sister Brooke and younger brother Luke who all still live in Australia. She can be reached at sally.jones@scvcharterschool.org
