Online Volunteer Application

Fill out your online volunteer application (CLICK HERE).  It will take up to 48 hrs. until you can start logging volunteer hours, after you have filled out your application online.  Each family member needs a separate e-mail address. If you don’t have more than one email address for several family members email Christine Chan stinechan@yahoo.com to create a personal login ID.

To help with processing, please put the child's/children's names that you are contributing your volunteeer hours towards in the "Application Notes" section of the application.


Log Volunteer Hours

You can log your volunteer hours back from July 1, 2009 to present.  

Directions:

1) Go to login.keepntrack.com

2) In the login field type the email address you registered as a volunteer with.

3) In the "password" field type in your birth date with no dashes or slashes. (For example: April 3, 1972 would be 4372)  This will bring you to the page where you can register.  

4) Click on "new activity", you can scroll down to the type of activity that you did and even jot down some notes if you wish. 

5) When you are done click on "add" and you will see the number of hours for that period of time calculated.  Only administration can correct times after they are input.

6) You can record any past hours and bring them up to date.

Families and SCVi Working Together

SCVi seeks to make education a community passion.  To this end, parent participation is essential to the success of the education process.  Parents are expected to participate in the operation of the school as an integral part of the staffing and support team and with the charter staff in the development and successful completion of the individual learning plan for your child.  

Each family will commit to 2 hours per week or 8 hours per month or 80 hours per year of participation. 

NOTE: All volunteers must have a current TB test on file before October 1 of each year (those entering our school after that date must have a current TB test before volunteering) as well as a criminal background check (Live Scan).

Participation hours should be regularly logged (daily, weekly, or monthly) into login.keepntrack.com.  Hours are tallied once per month.  Regular reports will be sent home to families if they are falling below the required hours.

Donations in Lieu of Volunteer Hours
The family handbook suggests donating cash in lieu of volunteer hours for families who find it difficult to volunteer.  Donation slips can be found in the front lobby to the right of the reception desk.
