SCVi seeks to make education a community passion.  To this end, parent participation is essential to the success of the education process.  Parents are expected to participate in the operation of the school as an integral part of the staffing and support team and with the charter staff in the development and successful completion of the individual learning plan for your child.  

Each family will commit to 80 hours per year of participation (this works out to 2 hours per week, or 8 hours per month). 

NOTE: All volunteers must have a current TB test on file before October 1st of each year (those entering our school after that date must have a current TB test before volunteering) as well as a criminal background check (Live Scan).

Participation hours can be logged in (daily, weekly or monthly) at the front desk kiosk or by sending your total hours with date and purpose to Christine at stinechan@yahoo.com. Hours will be tallied at the end of each month and those "Top Volunteers of the Month" will be recognized monthly.

We are no longer using Keep-n-track. Our new School Check-In system will require you to bring in your driver's license (one time only) to be scanned into the computer for accurate background checks.
